Rebekah

Rebekah!  Rebekah!
A camel caravan is riding ‘cross the sand
Sent from Abraham to seek you hand,
Rebekah

Rebekah!  Rebekah!
As the men dismount, on your kindness they will count
Your dark bewitching eyes so deep and wise,
Rebekah

All the men are watching you, breathless at your grace
How they ache to hold you, when they glimpse your face
With your jar you pass among them, refreshing everyone
Water from your deep dark well is sparkling in the sun!
Rebekah

Rebekah!  Rebekah!
As the men recline they see that you are kind,
For in this heat you even serve their beasts
Rebekah

All your life you’ve been praying to the one true God above.
Now it’s here, you must unravel the mystery of love.
Rebekah

Now’s the time you must rise to meet your destiny
You must journey overland to a husband sight unseen
To share your many virtues as scripture soon will tell
Faith and love, fidelity, like water from your well!
Rebekah

Rebekah!  Rebekah!
They claim you for a bride and now you must decide
Destiny awaits don’t hesitate —
Up you climb and off you ride
Rebekah!
